Former Wisconsin Badgers linebacker and esteemed NFL veteran Joe Schobert is set to grace Camp Randall once more, taking on the prestigious role of honorary captain for the upcoming game against Miami (Ohio).

Schobert’s return marks a significant moment for the Wisconsin Badgers faithful, recalling his impactful collegiate career from 2012 to 2015 where he consistently demonstrated his prowess on the field.

His journey continued into the professional ranks after being drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the 2016 NFL Draft, where he quickly established himself as a dominant force.

A Pro Bowler in just his second NFL season, Schobert amassed an impressive 144 total tackles, a league-best that year, alongside 3.0 sacks and an interception, solidifying his reputation as a formidable linebacker.

Throughout his seven-season NFL career, Schobert played for the Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Tennessee Titans, accumulating 677 tackles and 11 sacks before his retirement in 2022.
