Lincoln’s boys tennis team demonstrated an exceptional display of skill and dominance on Wednesday, securing a resounding 5-0 shutout victory against Evansville Central on their home courts. This commanding performance not only showcased the Alices’ formidable talent but also extended their impressive season record, firmly establishing their presence in the Southern Indiana Athletic Conference.
The victory was highlighted by two flawless performances in singles, with Carter Johnson and Reid Hall each achieving perfect 6-0, 6-0 shutouts against their respective opponents. Johnson, playing at No. 2 singles, expertly neutralized Conor Hoover, while Hall at No. 3 singles proved equally unstoppable against Jaxon Trautvetter, leaving no doubt about their superior play.
Completing the singles sweep, No. 1 Mabry Fleck delivered a solid 6-2, 6-3 win over Wyatt Plisky, contributing to the team’s overall supremacy. Fleck’s strategic play and consistent returns ensured that Evansville Central had no answers across the singles ladder, setting a strong tone for the match.
